Skin Leaf Cosmetics was founded by Lia Cardoso, a professional makeup artist with over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry. Her fascination for cosmetics, love for science, and deep commitment to caring for others shaped a vision for a brand that would honor both beauty and well-being.
In 2020, while still based in Portugal, Lia launched Skin Leaf Cosmetics with a single product—our now iconic Antioxidant Facial Oil. Crafted with purity, intention, and performance in mind, it quickly became our best-seller, setting the foundation for everything the brand stands for today.
As the brand expanded, so did its recognition. In 2025, two of our signature products—the Sensitive Facial Oil and the Deep Facial Cleansing Oil—were awarded by Beauty Shortlist Awards – Editor’s Choice, a testament to the efficacy, integrity, and clean formulation standards at the heart of Skin Leaf Cosmetics.
A Bold Move Forward
With a growing vision and unwavering belief in the brand’s potential, Lia made a courageous decision in 2023: to relocate Skin Leaf Cosmetics to the United States.
She chose Orlando, Florida—a vibrant city and a leading market for Clean Beauty, where innovation, wellness, and conscious consumerism thrive.
This transition marked a new chapter, expanding our reach and deepening our commitment to creating skincare rooted in transparency, purity, and scientific clarity.
